Clinical observation of Baijiyuyang decoction on chronic non-specific ulcerative colitis

Objective To observe the effect and adverse reaction of Baijiyuyang decoction on the treatment of chronic non-specific ulcerative colitis.Methods 90 patients with ulcerative colitis were randomly divided into 2 groups,each including 45 patients.The treatment group received Baijiyuyang decoction.The control group received salicylazosulfamethazine tablet.The course was six weeks in two groups.The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were analyzed after two courses.Results The cure rate in treatment group and control group was 62.22% and 20.00%.There was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).There was significant difference between before and after treatment on the changes of symptomatology in treatment group(P0.01).There was significant difference between before and after treatment on erythrocyte sedimentation rate,positive of fecal occult blood and c-reactive protein positive in treatment group(P0.01).Conclusion Baijiyuyang decoction was reliable on the treatment of chronic non-specific ulcerative colitis.
