Abstract

Prosthetic leg(PL) product is a kind of typical products made by mass production(MP) satisfying for the personalization demonds from the customers.To improve the competitiveness and personalization adaptation of PL products,a new production mode called Adaptive Personalized Customization(APC),which combines the advantages of Mass Production(MP) and Mass Customization,was eastablished in this paper.The APC production mode can realize the self-adaptation to the core function personalization of PL product with the competitiveness of MP being assured.A flexible design strategy of PL prodcuts for the APC production mode was also studied here.Finally,the competitiveness of PL product samples designed and produced with the above APC production mode and design strategy was analyzed and evaluated.The production mode and metod set up in the paper can be applied in design and production for other similar product which need personalization.
