Abstract

During the identification of specimens collected by Hubei Provice midges survey, the author discovered a new genus and a new species of the tribe Heteromyiini of Ceratopogonidae, Medeobezzia gen. n. and Medeobezzia singularis nov. sp. The type specimens are deposited in the Medical Entomology collected Gallery. Academy of Military Medical Sciences(20 Dongda ne, Fengtai, Beijing 100071, China).
