Abstract

A new species of Forciomyia(Synthyridomyia)xiangshanensis Yu,Liu and Chen,sp.nov found in China is described and the catalogue and the key of the male midge of subgenus Synthyridomyia Saunder from China is presented.The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Medical Entomology Collection Gallery(20 Dongda Jie,Fengtai,Beijing 10071)and the Nanchang Center for Disease Control and Prevention,Nanchang 330006,China.
