Abstract

Objective To explore the changes of urine sediments analysed in different time in the same patient and their clinical significance.Method With Flowcell UF 100 automatic urine sediment analyzer,we determinated the urine sediments of 87 hospitalized patients in our hospital at morning, postprandial and any time, who were proved to be blood, leukocyte and protein positive patients by urine dry chemicals analysis, and 25 healthy volunteers. Results The concentration of RBC and WBC is the highest in morning urine, but the lowest in any time urine. The concentration of WBC has significant difference among the three kinds of urine( P 0.01),and that of RBC has similar defference between morning urine and any time urine as well as between postprandial urine and anytime urine( P 0.01).But all results show no remarkable difference between morning urine and postprandial urine( P 0.05).Conclusions The analytical results of urine sediments varied in different time in the same patient. Therefore, urine should be taken at the same time to ensure the precision of the results.
