Practices on Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Spontaneous Combustion in Fully Mechanized Top Coal Caving Mining Face in Combustible Thick Seam

Abstract

In order to solve the difficult problems of the spontaneous combustion prevention and control in the fully mechanized top coal caving mining face in combustible thick seam of No.2 Mine of Changchun Yangcao Coal Mining Company,base on the analysis on spontaneous combustion danger in the 9101 fully mechanized top coal caving mining face and according to the location,time and combustion cause of the spontaneous combustion occurred,the comprehensive prevention and control technical measures with the main technical measure of the nitrogen injection and the auxiliary measures of the balanced pressure,the plastic bags stacked sealing at the both face ends of the coal mining face,high level borehole grouting or borehole water injection in the goaf for the temperature control,borehole gas drainage and others were conducted.The spontaneous combustion dangers in the goaf of the 9101 fully mechanized top coal caving mining face were successfully controlled.The prevention and control practices of the spontaneous combustion in the 9101 fully mechanized top coal caving mining face showed that the key to ensure the nitrogen injection results for the prevention and control of the spontaneous combustion in the goaf was to reduce the air leakage and oxidized zone in the goaf,including the suffocation zone to be forwardly located and oxidized coal temperature on the floor to be reduced.
