A clinical observation on anterior vitrectomy and intraocular lens implantation in 25 cases

Abstract

Objective To study the clinical effect of anterior vitrectomy and intraocular lens(IOL) implantation after severe corneal penetrating injury.Methods Vitrectomy were performed,and combined with implanting posterior chamber,suspensory,or black-diaphragm IOL.The indications,methods,effects and complications of the surgery were discussed.Results In all the 25 cases,anterior segment recovered well and the position of the IOL were steady and the visual acuity improved in different degree.Conclusion To the cases of severe corneal penetrating injury,the clinical result of anterior vitrectomy associated with IOL implantation is satisfied,but the selection of suitable diseases should be noticed.
