Abstract

The author researched the evolvement of Yanhuachi garden from DongTing in Tang Dynasty to YanHuachi garden in Song dynasty, and recorded the ancestral temples of Luyou and Confucius in Ming Dynasty. The article firstly affirmed the time of provenance of YanHuachi Lake, and made a conclusion that the East Lake, West Lake and Yanhuachi are one thing's different names in different dynasty. It analyzed the developing processes of DongTing from government garden in Tang Dynasty to Yanhuachi Park at today. It also analyzed its unique gardening art.
