Abstract
The paper compares behaviors of zhu+Locativein two syntactic positions in modern Chinese dialects,namely,V+zhu+Locativeand zhu+Locative+V.Their differences in geographic distribution and frequency of use have been analyzed,and they are recognized to be due to language contact between Chinese dialects in the history probably.
