Clinicopathologic Analysis of Primary MALT Lymphoma of The Stomach

Objective:To studdy the clincopathologic features of gastric extranodal marginal zone B cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma) in Guangxi region.Methods:Fourteen cases of gastic MALT lymphoma were analyzed retrospectively.All specimens of that 14 cases were stained by immunohistochemical mathod with a panel of antibodies including:LCA,CD3,CD5,CD10,CD20,cyclinD1,IgM,κ,λ,BCL-2.Results:Five cases were male,nine were female.The median age was 56 years.Eight cases were stage Ⅰ,six were stage Ⅱ.Morphologically,the tumor mainly were composed of marginal zone B cells with a few immunoblast cells and plasma cells. Lymphoepithelial lesions and follicular colonization were shown.The tumor cells were positive for LCA,CD20,IgM and BCL-2 with light chain restricted,five of them showed κ expression,others were λ positive while all were negative for CD3,CD5,CD10,cyclinD1.Conclusions:Primary MALT lymphoma of the stomach occurs more often in female patients.The transformation to diffuse large B cell lymphoma were common.
