Abstract
Objective: To study effects of lower limb orthosis therapy on function recovery of stroke patients with severe hemiplegia. Method: 65 patients were randomly divided into tow groups, lower limb orthosis therapy rehabilitation group (34 patients) and conventional rehabilitation group (31 patients). The outcomes were compared between the two groups after training . Result: There were no significant differences between the two groups at function evaluation before training ( P 0.05). The evaluation after treatment showed, significant differences between the two groups on Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA) and Functional Independence Measurement(FIM)( P 0.001). Conclusion: Lower limb orthosis therapy can promote on motor function recovery in stroke patients with severe hemiplegia .
