Abstract
Objective To study the protective function and its mechanism of breviscapini after cerebral ischemic reperfusion in ovarivctomized rat. Methods We made the local cerebral ischemic reperfusion model with thread embolism of right middle cerebral artery (MCA) of young female SD rats which were bilaterally two weeks ago, determined the pathological change of brain tissue and the change of NO、IL-1、TNF after breviscapini intraperitoneal injected. Immunostaining was used to study the expression of Estrogen-receptor (ER ). Resul is The neurological deficit scores, the infarction volume ratio, the edema volume, level of NO, IL-1 and TNF activity in serum of breviscapini group were significantly decreased as compared with control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Breviscapini has significantly cerebral protective effect. The possible protective mechanism of breviscapini is by means of inhibiting inflamatory cytokines(IL-1、TNF) and NO releasing.
