Abstract

Metaphor is not the same concept from a perspective of cognitive study as from the perspective of rhetorical study though they are related in some way. The latest view about metaphor claims that metaphor should not be studied simply as a rhetorical device of language but be associated with human' s cognitive process. Metaphor is one of the human cognitive methods. Human beings cognize the world by the way of metaphorical thinking modes.
