Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of hemoperfusion(HP) combined with hemodialysis(HD) in the treatment of hyperbilirubinemia. Methods Total 25 cases of hyperbilirubinemia(total bilirubin greater than or equal to 171 μmol/ml) received HD + HP treatment based on the medical conventional treatment.28 controls received the medical conventional treatment. The clinical manifestations, clinical outcomes and incidence of adverse reactions in perfusion were observed. The change of serum bilirubin before and after the treatment was detected. Results In the experimental group, the original symptoms such as fatigue, lassitude, poor appetite, nausea, abdominal distension were improved in 88.0% of the patients, and the level of serum bilirubin decreased(P 0.01);The survival rate of the experimental group was 76%,and of the control group was 42.9%(P 0.05).No serious adverse was founded during the perfusion. Conclusion The early combined therapies with HP + HD and medical comprehensive treatment for hyperbilirubinemia are safe and effective, and can effectively improve the survival rate of patients.
