Abstract
Using information form China National Knowledge Infrastructure Academic website(CNKI net),this study has conducted comprehensive statistical analysis of research paper on teaching management,which are published in academic journals from 2007 to the first half of 2009.This study analyzes the Key words:of the papers,professional ranks of the authors,geographical distribution of the authors,source of research funding,reference citations and the affiliations of the authors.The results provide insights into the trends in research on teaching management.The study finds that,in general,the majority of the researchers are young faculty members with intermediate professional ranks from second-tier universities;the ultimate goal of research in this area is to foster student critical and creative thinking skills;current research focuses on the reformation and innovation in teaching methodology,showing that the method of case study is widely accepted;the quality of the research papers has been improving;and researchers are geographically widely distributed,suggesting that currently there is no research leader in this area.
