Classification and operative treatment of the injuctive gluteal muscle constracture

Objective To observe the classification,the relationship between classification and pathologic change,operative range about the injective gluteal muscle constracture(IGMC).Methods Accoding to the typical symptom and sign of IGMC,153 patients were diveded 3 types,e.g.light type,middle type and serious type.According to different types,iliotibial tract,greatest gluteal muscle,middle and least gluteal muscle and the back of hip joint capsule were exposured and operated.Results All cases were operated.141 cases were followed up for 1 year to 10 years,average 6.8 years.96.5% of patients had excellent and good results.Conclusion The type system of gluteal muscle constracture can demonstrate exactly the severity degree of the disease,choose operative range and evaluate operative prognosis.
