Nursing intervention experience in 64 severe patients of respiratory medicine

Objective To explore the nursing intervention in 64 severe patients of respiratory medicine,so as to improve therapeutic effect.Methods Sixty-four severe patients of respiratory medicine admitted in our hospital from January 2009 to December 2010 were selected.All patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group,each groups had 32 patients.Patients in control group were given routine nursing.Patients in observation group were given 24 h emergency care measures in the basis of routine nursing.The nursing effect was compared between the two groups.Results After the nursing intervention,the pH,PaO2,PaCO2,respiratory rate,heart rate of observation group were all improved,compared with before nursing intervention,the differences were highly statistically significant(P 0.01).After the routine care,PaO2 and PaCO2 of the control group were not significantly better than those of observation group,the pH,respiratory rate and heart rate were improved.Compared with before nursing intervention,the differences of each index were statistically significant(P 0.05).The clinical indicator differences between the two groups after nursing intervention were statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion Proper care and rescue can effectively reduce mortality and improve patients' quality of life of patients suffered from severe respiratory require,and it is worthy of clinical application.
