Since the reform and opening up to the world 30 years ago, private enterprises have gained a rapid development in china.Compared with state-owned enterprises foreign–funded enterprises, the amount of private enterprises and their percentage of employment have increased strikingly. However, though their efficiency is among the top, their average scale is low. Therefore,it is suggested that the promotion of the development of private enterprises and the improvement of the overal achievement of our national economy should count on adherence to the reform of resource allocation based on the market, prevention of excessive extension of state-owned enterprises with non-market advantages, abandonment of the bias towards the private economy and guarantee of its dominant position in the market.
