Abstract
Artistic anthropology is a new branch of study,especially as it involves the interpretation of cultural function or the profound interpretation of culture.Its discipline construction and theoretical methods are concerned with four issues,namely the possibility and necessity of setting up a new discipline of articistic anthropology,the realistic foundation and theoretical basis of discipline construction,the positioning of artistic anthropology,and the classification of art in the perspectives of artistic ethnography and artistic anthropology.
