Abstract
Sedimentary flux was used to analyze heavy metals including Hg and Pb as well as TOC residues in sedimentary core of Honghu Lake, Hubei Province to reveal heavy metal pollution in this area within 100 years, particularly in recent 10 years. The application of element sedimentary flux to heavy metal analysis could provide good supplement to element concentration, with results in well accordance with temporal and spatial changes of the Lake ecology.
