Abstract

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of quantitative diagnostic kit(TRFIA) for neonatal thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH) by comparing with the abroad kit. Methods Comparing TRFIA kit made from our lab with the neonatal TSH kit from PerkinElmer Inc.,the concentrations of TSH were measured in 258 blood specimens dried on filter papers.Furthermore,ROC curve was used to determine the cut-off value and all the specimens were analyzed statistically. Results The correlation between two quantitative diagnostic kit was no statistically difference,r=0.961(P0.05).Cut-off value was 9.0 μ U/mL,sensitivity was 100%,specificity was 96.4%,concordance with 258 blood specimens was 97.5%,Kappa value was 0.950.Conclusion The diagnostic value of quantitative diagnostic kit(TRFIA) for neonatal TSH can provide good diagnostic value because of its high sensitivity and specificity.
