Abstract

Objective:To study the differential diagnosis value of cervical tumor with selective angiography.Methods:26 patients with cervical tumor were selected in this study. Among them, angiography was carried out by femoral artery in 20 cases and by common carotid artery in 6 cases, and DSA was employed in some of them. Results:Of 26 patients, fourteen patients were diagnosed as carotid body tumors, four patients as carotid tumors, two patients as jugular-carotid fistulas, two patients as cervical neurinomas, one patient as vagus body chemoreceptor tumor and the others were not tumors originated from blood vessel. Conclusion:It is a much valuable method to diagnose or differentially diagnose cervical tumor, especially in carotid triangular area by selective angiography.
