Abstract
Objective To study the diagnosis and treatment of carotid body tumor. Methods 2 preoperative cases were examined with MRI and MRA. Operations were performed by removing total tumor and a partial external carotid artery. Results Neoplasm was completely resected and no complications happened. Conclusion MRA was paramount for the diagnosis and treatment planning of carotid body tumor. Surgical excision remained a primary method.
