Probe into System of Succession of the Shang Dynasty from Shang people's Marriagical History and Life Style

This paper,based on documents,archaeological materials and oracl e bones inscriptions,tries to probe into the system of succession of the Shang d ynasty from Shang people,s marriagical history and life style ,and prove that th e syst em of succession of the Shang dynasty that relyed mainly on son ascending the th rone after his father died while making younger brothers come to the power after their elder brothers died subsidiarily was carried out. Since king Kangding die d,Primogeniture was practised.
