Abstract

This paper discusses the importance of training students' abilities in the background of cross-cultural communication in the process of foreign language teaching. Based on reflections on traditional teaching patterns, it describes some essential teaching elements in conducting language courses and puts forward authors' views on foreign language teaching in general.
