Abstract
As a new noncontacting, non-leaking face seal, t he spiral groove seal has been used widely in the past few years, such as in aer ospace and petrochemical industry. Using the numerical method, we discussed the performances and effective elements in steady seal condition of the double-spir al groove seal. In addition, the result is compared with the available data. The results show that the program written with this numerical method has good appli cation value.
