Abstract

In this paper, meristems of purple-colored sweet potato were used as explants for shoot tip culture in vitro. The MS medium supplemented differental concentrition of NAA and BA was optimized. The results showed that the best medium was MS media supplemented with 0.2 mg/L 6BA and 0.5 mg/L NAA.As explants were pretreated with sterile water and inoculated in this medium, the calli could be induced about 7 d and direct buds and roots were differentiated from the callus edges about 15—20d,one-step-seedlings formation could be formed about 45 d.The highest frequency of seedling formation reached 11.4%.One month after transplanting,100% of the plantlets survived.
