Abstract
The formulation of composite modified double base(CMDB) propellant containing different content of hexaazaisowurtzitane(CL-20) or RDX was designed.The effects of the CL-20 or RDX content on combustion properties of two groups CMDB propellants were studied.The results show that the burning rate of CMDB propellant containing CL-20 in the pressure range of 2-20MPa is higher than that of CMDB propellant containing RDX.The pressure exponent of CMDB propellant containing CL-20 increases with the increase in the content of CL-20.Some catalysts lead salts,copper salts and carbon black used at present can adjust the combustion characteristics of the propellants containing CL-20.
