Expression of Annexin A2 in human breast cancer tissue and its significance

Objective To investigate the expression of Annexin A2 in breast cancer tissues and to explore its relationship with breast cancer development.Methods The expressions of Annexin A2 protein were detected by Using Western Bloting and immunohistochemical method in human breast cancer and cancer adjacent tissues and the relationship with the clinical stage of breast cancer was analysed.Results Annexin A2 was obviously higher express in breast cancer tissue than that of the cancer adjacent tissue in the same sample weight.The positive expression rate of Annexin A2 protein in breast cancer tissue and the cancer adjacent tissue was 89.47% (34/38)and 42.10%(16/38).There was significant difference between the two groups (P0.05).The expression of Annexin A2 was significantly correlated with clinical staging by TNM(P0.05).Conclusions The higher expressions of Annexin A2 protein could participate in the occurrence,progression and metastasis of breast cancer.
