Contrastive Analysis between Digital Radiography and Traditional X-ray Radiography for Rib Fracture

Abstract

Objective To explore diagnostic value of digital direct radiography(DR) for rib fracture.Methods 59 patients with thoracic trauma were performed thoracic examination with traditional X-ray radiography and digital direct radiography as well.Demonstrative rate of rib fracture was compared between digital direct radiography and traditional X-ray radiography.Results 138 parts of fracture were found totally.Traditional X-ray radiography showed 98 parts with a demonstrative rate of 71.0%;Digital direct radiography showed 125 parts with a demonstrative rate of 90.6%.Digital direct radiography for rib fracture has a notable higher demonstrative rate than traditional X-ray radiography(P0.05).Conclusion Digital direct radiography can increase demonstrative rate for rib fracture comparing with traditional X-ray radiography.
