Abstract
Objective To investigate whether DATS induces apoptosis in MGC-803 cells. Methods Cell apoptosis was inspected by invert microscope, light microscope, electron microscope and flow cytometry. Results After 24 hours of exposure to DATS,partial cells presented characteristic morphological changes of apoptosis, including cell shrinkage, nuclear condensation.Flow cytometry analysis showed that treating MGC-803 cells with DATS significantly increased the percentage of apoptosis cells. Conclusion Diallyl trisulfide could significantly induce apoptosis in MGC-803 cells.
