Abstract
Objective To study the changes and the clinical significance of serum NT-proBNP levels in patients with heart failure(HF).Methods Bi-directional lateral flow immunoassay was employed to determine the levels of serum NT-proBNP in 107 HF(NYHA I,II,III,and Ⅳ)patients,30 healthy controls and 28 HF patients with 3,7 and 15 days conventional anti-heart treatment, and the data were statistically analyzed.Results(1)The levels of serum NT-proBNP of heart failure group were significantly higher than those of the healthy control group(P0.01).And the levels of serum NT-proBNP increased with the aggravation of heart failure.(2)The levels of serum NT-proBNP of the heart fades causing by different cardiovascular diseases were different. The levels of serum NT-proBNP of the acute cardiac arrest patients group were significantly higher than those of the other cardiovascular diseases groups(P0.01).The levels of serum NT-proBNP of the coronary disease patients without acute myocardial infarction and the patients with hypertension heart disease were the lowest.(3)The levels of serum NT-proBNP dropped gradually on the 3rd,7th,and 15th days after treatment, which corresponded with the improvement of clinical situation.Comparing the NT-proBNP density in three time points after treatment with before treatment, there was a positive correlation between the change scope of the NT-proBNP density and the NYHA graduation. Conclusions The serum NT-proBNP level is a powerful objective indicator to reflect the heart function condition, with the important value on HF diagnosis, the order of severity and the curative effect appraisal.
