Abstract

A derivative-double wavelength and K-ratio spectrophotometry is described for the determination of TMP and chlorhexidine in the XINLILING tablets. Ethanol was used as the solvent, and the two compositions were determined simultaneously without separation, at wavelengths 245.6. 252.6 nm and 264.0, 273,0 nm. The method has a good linearity within the range of 10 ̄32μg/ml, r=0.9999. The average recoveries and the relative standard deviations were 100.3% 1.23yo for TMP and 98.8%. 1.32% for chlorhexidine. respectively.
