Abstract
The grafting copolymerization of dimethyldiallylammonium chloride(DMDAAC) onto chitosan(Cts) was carried out utilizing γ-radiation source 60Co.The copolymer could be used as flocculating agent on wastewater treatment. The effect of the ratio of chitosan and DMDAAC,irradiation dose,pH value on the graft rate were studied, and the product was analyzed by FTIR and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The product was applied to treat bentonite simulated wastewater and water of firstly washed rice, and the results indicated that it possessed excellent flocculability.
