Abstract
[Objective]To evaluate the therapeutic effects of tanshinone-ⅡA in rats with acute pancreatitis-associated lung injury(APALI)and its possible mechanisms.[Methods]The rat model of APALI was induced by retrograde injection of 5% sodium taurocholate into pancreatic duct.Seventy-two SD rats were randomly divided into sham-operated group,APALI group and tanshinone-ⅡA group,in which tanshinone-ⅡA was given intraperitoneally at a concentration of 20mg/kg at 30 minutes before induction of APALI.The ratio of lung wet weight over dry weight(ww/dw),MPO activity, level of TNF-α and IL-1β,expression of ICAM-1 in lung and lung injury score were detected at different intervals and compared between different groups.[Results]Compare with those in sham-operated group, the ww/dw ratio,MPO activity, level of TNF-α and IL-1β,ICAM-1 in lung and lung injury scores were increased significantly in APALI group(P0.05).While with the pre-treatment of tanshinone-ⅡA,the ww/dw ratio,MPO activity, level of TNF-α and IL-1β,ICAM-1 expression in lung and lung injury score were decreased significantly than those in APALI group(P0.05).[Conclusion]Tanshinone ⅡA can down-regulate the expression of inflammatory factors in process of APALI and alleviate the corresponding inflammatory reactions in lung.
