The Study of Agglomeration of Manufacturing and Producer Services in Fujian Province

Abstract

According to the city-level panel data of employees in Fujian province,this paper calculates Herfindahl index and spatial Gini coefficient to measure the industrial agglomeration degree of Fujian and then analyses the relationship between manufacturing and producer services.The results show that there are consistent trends for market agglomeration degree of manufacturing and producer services,but the trends for spatial agglomeration degree are almost in the opposite direction.
