Abstract
The features of the Modbus communication protocol are introduced.The concrete method for realizing the communication between IPC and intelligent instrument based on Modbus RTU protocol under the environment of VB6.0 program and RS-485 serial port is also explained.It is simple,reliable and effective,and can provide certain references for the design and development of similar intelligent instruments and systems.
