Abstract
The influence of tempering process on microstructure and mechanical properties of new type bainite cast steel was studied. The results show, after normalized and tempered at low temperature, the microstructure of ZG30CrMn2Si2Mo cast steel is a new type bainite which consists of bainite ferrite and retained austenite, and its microstructure transforms into the typical bainite from new type of bainite with the increase of tempering temperature and holding time. The experimental material has better matching of strength and toughness after tempered at 250℃ for 1 hour and temper brittleness occurs at 450~550℃,the reason of which is related to bainite ferrite and retaidual austenite decomposing for carbide.
