Abstract
Based on the rainfall seepage process analysis ,a rainfall conceptual model is presented; and the method of how to calculate seepage field in a slope under diverse rainfall patterns by numerical analysis of seepage flow through the saturated and unsaturated soils is proposed .Analyzing results show that the rainfall seepage process is affected greatly by the initial seepage field; and initial moisture content has some influence upon the expansion of wetting front If it's raining hard, rainwater seeps so slowly that shallow soil keeps some suction. Although rain stops the seepage field will change greatly.
