Abstract
OBJECTIVE To learn the epidemic characteristics of acute viral hepatitis in Minhang District of Shanghai in 2006,and to provide scientific basis for viral hepatitis prevention.METHODS Epidemiological analysis on 319 acute viral hepatitis cases who are Shanghainese and resided in Minhang, which is from direct reporting through network system in 2006.RESULTS The incidence rate of acute viral hepatitis in 2006 was 37.72/100,000,which had decreased by 33.96%,compared to that in 2005.Among the hepatitis cases, the hepatitis B took the highest proportion.Hepatitis not yet classified and hepatitis E took the 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The proportion of each type of viral hepatitis is significantly different between 2005 and 2006.Compared to that in 2005,the proportion of hepatitis B in 2006 has increased(χ2=5.94,P=0.015),while the unclassified hepatitis decreased(χ2=8.16,P=0.004).Male middle-aged workers risked highest to the hepatitis B.For the unclassified hepatitis, having not classified by hospital, loss to follow-up,and cases staying home were the 3 key reasons.CONCLUSIONS The epidemic situation of acute viral hepatitis in Minhang kept steady.Preventive measure should be taken mainly on HBV clinical diagnosis level should be improved to decrease the proportion of hepatitis which was unclassified.
