Efficacy of Ambroxol hydrochloride injection in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of ambroxol in acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.Methods 68 patients with acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis were randomly divided into observation group(36 cases) and control group(32 cases),which were both under convention anti-infective and symptomatic treatment.The observation group was administrated with ambroxol injection.The clinical effect in both groups were observed.Results The clinical effect in the observation group(94.44%) was significantly better than that in the control group(78.13%),and the difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusion Ambroxol injection can provide good efficacy as an adjuvant treatment for acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis,especialiy as an eficacious expectorant,and can be safely used,so it deserved application and promotion in clinical work.
