Abstract

This paper analyzes the development status and essential contents of GIS,summarizes the problems in its practical applications from technique angles.Starting from the applications of Web GIS,MobileGIS,GIS and GPS, this paper describes the current application of these GIS and some views about the development directions of GIS soft wares are put forward.
