Traditional political stabilization attempts to sustain political system passively or to keep the political order absolutely. With the rejection to reforms and innovations, traditional political stabilization lacks the ability to retain metabolism and creativity. Modern political stabilization indicates that its political system is able to monitor social conflicts within the system and sudden changes in surroundings and to maintain its function and harmony in pursuit of reform and change. Political stability in the dynamic evolution becomes a goal in political development worldwide, especially for the developing countries in modernization process. In order to reach this goal in transition period, China should appropriately choose the strategic mechanism, which enables the achievement of political stabilization.
