Abstract
Confucianism in the East Jin dynasty was marked by the clear features of accommodation, but did not lose its inherent theoretical qualities and spiritual standpoint. It had profound effects on the literary circle in many aspects such as political view, moral cultivation and aesthetical tendency.Furthermore,it endowed the compositions in the East Jin Dynasty with the aesthetical features of grandness, harmony and elegancy. This aesthetic style is not only completely different from the mainstream of the literary circle at that time——metaphysical culture, but also full of new vitality in the changes of the literary style during the period between the late Jin Dynasty and the early Song Dynasty and subsequently propelling the evolution process forward in the literary circle.
