Abstract
Objective To develop a HPLC method for the determination of the contents of rhein, emodin and chrysophanol in the Weitonxin Granules. Methods The measurement conditions used were as follows: Accusil C 18( 4.6 mm× 250 mm)column; mobile phase: methanol-H 2O-acetic acid(80∶20∶1,V∶V∶V); flow rate: 1 mL/min; wavelength for rhein, emodin and chrysophanol showed good linear relation. The recovery rates for the rhein, emodin and chrysophanol were 98.3%(RSD=1.43%),97.6%(RSD=1.84%),98.7%(RSD=0.57%)respectively.The conditions of extraction and detemination were optimized. Conclusions The procedure is simple and rapid. The method can be used for evaluation of the crude drugs and their preparations.
