Abstract
Objective To summarize the selection of operation, clinical effect, complication of inguinal hernia and incisional hernia treatment with laparoscopic technique. Methods The clinical data of 71 patients with ventral hernias(include inguinal hernia and incisional hernia) performed laparoscopic operation for ventral hernia between October 2004 and December 2009 at First Affiliated Hospital of University of South China and other hospitals consulted were analyzed retrospectively, which were composed with 43 children(51sides) oblique inguinal hernia of underwent the laparoscopic high ligation of hernial sac,25 cases(31sides) underwent TAPP,3 cases underwent the laparoscopic abdominal incisional hernia repair. Results None was converted to open surgery. The mean operative time was 34.5 min.The intraoperative blood loss was 5 ml,incidence rate of postoperative complications was 11%(5/11),included 2 seroma cases,4 emphysema cases of scrotum. The mean postoperative hospital stay was 2.8d.There was no hernia recurrence, chronic neuropathic pain, foreign body sensation, infection of incisional wound and patch after the follow-up of 1-12 months. Conclusion The laparoscopic operation for ventral hernia was the first operation for the recurrence after the open operation of hernia, two sides hernia, hernia of multiplicity, and could avoid the omission hiding hernia.
