Abstract
This paper is on Chinese urban housing affordability. It discusses some fallacies which usually appear in recent media and articles. Using data from 1991 to 2005, the author estimates house-price-to-income-ratio to measure housing affordability in urban China, and discusses its trend, fluctuations, and spatial diversity.
