Study of Comparison of the Availability of Essential Drug List for Children in Jiangsu Province

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To prefect provincial essential drug list,and to improve the availability and security of essential drugs for children in Jiangsu province.METHODS:The availability of essential drugs for children in Jiangsu province were investigated and analyzed,and the classification,quantity,dosage form in the essential drug list and formulary of Jiangsu province were analyzed statistically,and compared with relevant data of WHO EMLc(2010 edition)and WMFC.RESULTS CONCLUSION:The large number of essential drugs is available to children in Jiangsu province,but the distribution is imbalanced.Little dosage form is suitable for children and can not meet children's needs.There are many imperfections in its items,usage and dosage,so we propose Jiangsu to promulgate children medication security policy and try to formulate provincial essential drugs supplement list and specification formulary for children.
