Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study drug resistance status of nosocomial infections caused by coagulase-negative Staphylococcus(CNS) to offer experimental basis for clinical treatment.METHODS Referring to National Guide to Clinical Laboratory Procedures,CNS was cultured and identified. The drug susceptibility testings were performed by K-B method. The results were assessed according to the latest version of CLSI breakpoints.RESULTS Among 136 strains of CNS,the isolating rates of S.epidermidis(69 isolates,50.7%) and S.haemolyticus(39 isolates,28.7%) were the highest. The isolating rate of methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative Staphylococcus(MRCNS) was 51.9%.The drug-resistance rate of MRCNS was higher obviously than that of methicillin-susceptible coagulase-negative Staphylococcus(MSCNS).CONCLUSION CNS has become one of the important pathogens of nosocomial infections.MRCNS shows multidrug-resistance.The peptide antibiotics are the first choice for treatment of MRCNS infections.
