Analysis on the Efficiency of the Basic Public Health Services in China's Township Hospitals

Abstract

his paper measures the efficiency of the basic public health service of township hospitals in 30 provinces from 2007 to 2008 in China under the three-stage DEA model.The study shows that the rural residents income,the new rural cooperative medical care system and statistical noise obviously influence the efficiency of the basic public health service of township hospitals.The mass efficiency is on the low side in the homogeneous environment.
